German: I'm sick and overworked, I'm completely devastated Germans too: I have to work to feel well. I've been here for 18 years and I still don't understand why Germans can't find a balance. Literally all my German friends are mentally ill because they work too much. One of them had to go into hospital for a week. When she came back, she immediately started working again. Her boss practically has to fire her so she doesn't die or something.

Honest question and not sure if it is addressed in another video, but with everything being made of wood, how does this system deal with the possibility of fire? Im sure its treated to some extent but assuming a fire did start wouldnt it just go up fast?

I'm 48 and had three burn-outs in the last ten years. Selfcare is important, it took me way too long to recognize that. There are people who care about you, who expect nothing of you. Except getting well. Take your time. PS: Kamerakind? Das ist ja mal ein deep cut!

Thank you for showing this side to everyone too. It takes a different kind of courage to put this out on the internet. I applaud you for noticing that you need a break and for listening to this and act accordingly - because that is f*-ing hard to do publicly. I hope you can relax and find joy in doing some things just for funsies! We are not going anywhere - with or without regular weekly content 😉! Actually Laura, I am sort of relieved that you are only human after all. Don't worry about us. While you recharge, we might take a leaf out of your book and power through some of our own stuff instead of binging away on your youtube channel... ;)

Thank you for showing that absolutely anyone, even the most positive of us, can hit walls and need a break. You haven't said "I'm done, walking away", you've said you'll come back when you are rested and motivated. And I think that's the healthiest thing ever.

Hey, ich stecke auch gerade in den letzten Zügen des Hausumbaus (BJ 1880), auch viel mit Lehm gemacht (scheiße ist das viel Arbeit -.-) und ich fühle dich grad so hart. Wir haben wir einem Jahr Nachwuchs bekommen und es war das schönste und beschissenste Jahr meines Lebens. Ich habe die ersten Videos von Haus Liselotte mit großer Freude verfolgt, mittlerweile habe ich aufgegeben weil ich auf ca. 3h RUclips/Monat komme, wenn überhaupt. Ich geh um 7 aus dem Haus, auf die Arbeit, dann auf die Baustelle und um 23:30 komme ich heim, esse was und am nächsten Tag gehts weiter, dazu Samstag von 8 bis 18 Uhr. Es sind noch 6 Wochen bis zum Umzug und ich kann einfach nicht mehr. Aber Handtuch schmeißen is nich.

Overcoming the hard stuff includes taking a rest to reset. You’re not going to be able to do your best work when you’re facing project burnout. Forcing yourself to push through and do the work on the house to create content is a sure fire way to build resentment. I don’t think anyone wants that for you. In another video you mentioned building a team in CA to help you document other projects and I think that’s lovely. People will wait for house content if they want it badly enough. You’re such a talented and badass maker, I think we’re mostly all here for you first, house second or third. I’m sure your crew will also enjoy a break as well. 🫶
